Question

Terry

When I click on the
Office Button I receive a listing of Recent Documents I have been working on. Placing the mouse  over any of the listed entries the message appears "pin this document to the recent document list"
I have used the F1 button to search and scroll to ascertain what procedures I have to follow to delete files from the "Recent Document" listing as detailed when I initially click on the Office Button.
Having noted under Topics in File Management addressed to "delete a file", still have problems on reducing the entries under Recent Documents.

Any advice.

Thanks

C Allen.

I think what I have put at the below answers your question. I have also attached the answer as a word doc so you can open it and follow the answer at the same time.                                                                                               Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click
Word Options.                                                                                 Click Advanced. Under Display, in the Show this number of Recent Documents list, click the number of files that you want to display. If you do not want to display any files, click 0.

Tip   To keep a file in the Recent Documents list, click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Pin this document to the Recent Documents list .

As far as I know you can't delete them from the Recent Documents list just stop them being displayed.
