Beginners on the web

Our Beginners Course is designed for persons who have little or no knowledge of Computers. All of our courses are hands on and everyone will have the chance to use a computer most of the day. Persons who own laptops are encouraged to bring these along and to use them.

We aim to remove the ‘fear factor’ from computing and show you that using your computer can be FUN.

The course is designed to last for eight weeks and you will learn how to connect a computer to the mains and connect a monitor, mouse and keyboard to the computer.

You will also learn the basics of the Windows operating system and how to copy and paste documents, how to create folders and how to use the computer as a word processor by learning “Word.” in its most basic form.
